OK ... so I could not resist alittle more fun with the camera tonight. Mason and I were testing out the effects! Isn't he a cutie pie!

Right On! Today my new MacBook Pro came and let me tell you I'm totally stooked! This thing rocks! It has a built in camera on the monitor .. too cool .. so I had to snap a pic of me to test it out! Right On! I'll be playing with this all night ... ok ... maybe not all night, I have images to work on ;-)

Ahhhh, so fun! Last week I got to give photo tips on the Good Day Sacramento show with Julissa Ortiz and the crew... and let me tell you it was so so fun! The morning flew by like it was just 15 mintues ... in truth it takes alot of time to do what they do. Us TV watching folks just get to see what is on TV ... but it is amazing at what is behind the scenes! Thanks Alyson, Terry, Dave, Branden and Of Coarse Julissa for making me feel like I was part of the gang! And thank you Wendy ... :-)

Well, I'm feaverishly working on wedding images this week and I ran accross this one this afternoon, my assistant Hidemi always captures and image of me and I like this one ... so I thought I'd post it! The one she got of me standing in the bathtub photographing a bride still takes the cake ... but I like the inventive use of my legs as a tripod while still looking casual ... too funny!

Man-0-man! It's been a crazy week and its only Wednesday! This week I got to work with Jolissa of Good Day Sacramento and give tips on how to get great photos and how to edit them...TV is so so fun! And Jolissa and the crew are great, Dave, Terry, Alyson and Branden all made me feel comfortable and like I was one of the gang! Thank you guys! Also today my new ad came out in Sacramento Bride magazine! It was so awesome to buy the magazine at the book store and say ... this is my work! Jenni the bride in the ad is just the sweetest thing ... Both Tyson and Jenni, Thank you so much for being such truly wonderful people.

Well, Isabel is calling me to give her a kiss goodnight ... so I'm going to go hang out with her and most likely fall asleep ... it's been a long day!

Amazing! It's December ... I can't belive how time flies! It's been some time since I've posted so I thought get to it! I've been so busy these last few weeks ... it's so fun! ... and crazy. Being a photographer is trully the BEST fun! I love getting to play ... I mean work ... with such awesome people and kids ... it totally ROCKS! Yesterday I did a shoot for my favorite local kids magazine KidAroundTown and we had a blast! The new issue will be out in January so keep your eyes peeled!

If any of you out there are from the Boston area ...Multiple Moms Rock (the hip shirts for moms of multiples) are going to be featured in the Boston Herald and I hear that potentially the photos from our session will be included! It's that cool?!!! I can't wait to see it ... check out Monday the 11ths paper ;=) and keep me posted if you would.

Alysa and Reid's wedding at the Forest House in Forest Hill, CA was so awesome! So many special touches ... it was awesome! And to make it even more wonderful Alysa and Reid are two of the nicest people I've met! They are so so sweet and funny ... here is a quick slideshow of some of my favorites from their wedding.

Penny Launchs New Wedding Site!

Finally! I launched my new wedding site! It's been a while comming and still alittle updating going on ... but I finally did it!!! Check it out! I'd love to hear from you all!

Recently I photographed for Multiple Moms Rock , Wendy Irvine, mom of twins and the creator is such a sweet and dear person with a spirt that just makes you smile! Check out their site ... her shirts are so fun!!! With tag lines like "Why can't I have a Time Out" and "Body by Baby" ... they are irresistible!!! Her shirts have been featured in KidAround Town and are spreading across the Nation! As a mom on the go I can appreciate having something sassy to put on when I'm running out the door to the store with two kids on my hip and hoping I remembered my wallet! Check 'em Out!!

Today I'm sharing some of my tips for taking great pictures of your little ones with the Fair Oaks Moms club! I'm nervous as it's my first "real" invited speaking engagement!!! We'll see how it goes!! Hopefully I wont trip over my feet!!!

What a day! It was Awesome! The first of three Park Days ... I got to see my buddies Henry and Charlie ... and boy have they grown! Emily ... oh I love her spirit! Cara and Katie ... just sweet sisters! And so beautiful. Bryce and Brenna ... you guys are so great ... Bryce I think has a great eye for a great picture and Brennas eyes are just B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!! Thomas and his beautiful sister Annika - you guys are so fun! And I got to meet little Miss. Jayden ... just a week and a day old .... so tender and sweet! Oh yes, and I got to see all their parents ;-) I'm so blessed! It was such a pleasure to see you all today and photograph you ... I love getting to be a part of your family as they grow! Thank you ... Thank you ... Thank you!

I also had the pleasure of getting to hang out with Maren and her friends for a girls night out! You ladies are so fun and so great! Thank you for letting me be a part of the fun.

I'm off to go hang out with my kids ... Isabel is calling me saying that the movie is on ... goto go!!!!!

.... just wanted to share that this week has been so full of happy things! Three of my clients have had their babies ... which I have to share has been so awesome to get happy moms and dads calling me saying ... "We had a Boy!" or "Miss. Jayden has arrived!" It really is such a blessing to get to be a part of your lives ... it truly makes my heart smile!

Also an update on my buddy Chip ... He has lost 55 pounds!!! Man, I am so proud of him! But darn it, I had been slacking from the gym and now I totally have to get my butt back there! So I'll be seeing Chip tomorrow a.m. at the crack of dawn!!! Rock on my buddy ... you are the BOMB! I hope the batteries in my MP3 player are still good!!

It's been such a whirlwind month! So much learning, sharing and shooting! Got to love it! Here are a couple of pictures from the wedding on Saturday. Chantel is just so beautiful ... I had to post them! She is such a sweetheart too! The picture of me is hilarious ... anyone who knows me knows that I much rather be behind the camera ... but my assistant (who totally rocks, by the way) Demi ... snaped this one of me on Saturday ... yup, I got in the bathtub to get the best light! Crazy Penny!!! Anyway, I had share Chantel's beauty with you all!

...just a few days now and I'll be on a plane to LA to train with Mike Colon and I can't wait!!! So excitting to get to rub elbows with people who share similar passions! I can't wait to report back!

On the suggestion of a fellow Sacramento photographer Nathan Smith I bought an Epson printer and I'm so excitted! It came today and I've been playing with it! Too cool! Thanks Nathan ... I'm on my way to making my promo DVD! Thanks for your company on the flight home from LA. Carol and I had a blast. I'll be checking your blog to make sure your updating it ;-)

here is a picture my assistant took of me photographing Ariel and Irina ... they are so beautiful. So fun! And so adventurous. I thing Ariel thought I was crazy when I asked them to go in the middle of the street! I told them I promise I would not let them get hurt :-) Truly.

Their wedding was so so beautful. Their reception was at the Firehouse in Old Sacramento and let me tell you it was absolutly georgous! The staff and the food was wonderful! Their slideshow is comming I promise!

Yesterday, I had the absolute pleasure of shooting the wedding of Ariel and Irina - it was absolutely beautiful! Two cultures came together, Mexican and Russian! Friends and relatives came from both countries ... it was so neat! And both Ariel and Irina were so wonderful. Two of the most in love people I've met .... Really, when they danced and looked into each others eyes ... I could see their magic ... and that is AWESOME!!!

Honestly, the best part of what I do is getting to meet the wonderful people that I do and getting to be part of such neat things in their lives! It's been a great weekend! I got so much done around my home ... I actually can't belief it .. must be because I know I'm going to be crazy busy in September. I'll be out of town for two weeks to goto LA to train with Pictage and Mike Colon. I'm so excited! But in September every Saturday I have a wedding, which totally rocks ... but man, life will be crazy! I have several clients whose babies are due in the next weeks too ... that is going to be excitting. I get to meet some new little ones just about every week next month!!! Got to love that.

This past week I meet a wonderful couple Michael and Jennifer ... they are expecting a little girl and it was so fun to get to meet them and look at their wedding pictures ... in fact we were married by the same wonderful man! Isn't that just too cool! As soon as I got home I busted in the door and told my husband! I think he thought I was a little strange .. nothing new there :-)

Tomorrow I get to go help my friend Kristen pick out a camera ... I can't wait to show her all the fun stuff ... which will she pick .. Nikon or Canon .. I'll keep you posted ;-) I'm taking her to my favorite local camera shop Camera Arts. The staff there totally ROCKS! Everyone there is great and helpful ... if you are looking for new gear in the Sacramento area I highly recommend them .. they really help you and don't make you feel like you are a goober if you have a silly question.

Okay, Isabel is calling for me to go watch Little Mermaid for the 159th time ... too bad I'm really not keeping track ... 'cause I bet I hold the world record!!! Good Night!

Whew! What a Saturday! This is the first Saturday in I don't know how long that I actually had to myself ... Well sorta ... I finally got to organize Mason's closet ... it has been my storage closet for my photography stuff for the last 5 years ... so you can only imagine the pain of giving up that space to clothes and shoes ... but he did need his own closet! And I purged toys from both Mason and Isabels room ... it is amazing how much junk they can collect for such little people!!!

Also, it's sorta funny ... so I have to share. I've been on a big quest to help others lately ... this morning when Isabel and I were heading to Target to grab a few things I was wondering how I would do that today and it was so odd because as we pulled into the parking lot there was an older man with his family and you could tell that he had locked his keys in the car ... I seized the day and offered my AAA to come and unlock the car ... he couldn't belive it! He was so thrilled ... said that these days people just don't stop and help anyone anymore ... I told him ... well my friend ... today someone stopped ... he smiled and nodded. It totally made my heart smile!

I got to visit my friend Barbara ... took her maternity shots today ... it was great fun and I actually got all three of her little ones and her growing belly in several shoots ... I wasn't sure if I'd have success, but it all came together and it was great fun! On my way home I got to visit with my best bud Jenny who I don't get to see much ... I can't belief how Sammy and Nick have grown!! It was nice to see them all.

So, all in all this Saturday has been great! I'm going to finish this up, finish my glass of great wine that my husband poured me and head to bed to finish the book 'Never Eat Alone' which I have to say has been very interesting.

Wow, these last weeks have be just packed with all kinds of fun stuff. I'm running this evening to go and meet my friends Tyson and Jenni ... I shot their wedding in July and those lucky dogs got to goto Spain for a couple of weeks for their honeymoon...and can you belive they didn't take me along for photos (just kidding .. however a great idea if you want to be in your honeymoon shoots!!) Anyway ... I'm dying to see them and here about their adventure and of coarse see their pictures!!!

I shot for Kismet Maternity this past week and I have to tell you ... Stacey has the absolute best stuff!!! You moms have to check it out!! She carries the best jeans, the most stylish dresses ... and some of the cutest baby gifts and bags! She also carries Hip Bebes slings ... who makes some very very stylish baby slings ... check 'em out!!

Most of you know that I just love photographing kids ... they just constantly crack me up or make me look at life a lot less seriously ... well, I had a recent session at the park and had a blast ... but the image above takes the cake ... it just cracks me up!!!!

I had to post it! Thanks little man for the laugh!!!! I needed it!

Last week I got the opportunity to photograph most likely the funnest couple yet expecting a little one! DJ and Kendra were a blast .. I can't wait to meet their little one. Here is a peak at my favorites from their session.

Wow! I can believe it's been so long since I've checked in! Life just gets so busy ... a good busy .. but busy non the less! I always know I've got to check myself when I've been skipping out on the gym and am glued literally to the computer! It's funny, my buddy Chip asked me if I was just beating him out of the gym or if I was flaking ... I sooooooo wantedt to say "of coarse I'm beating you out of the gym ... wondering where you've been" ... but no! darn it ... truth prevails ... so tomorrow a.m. ... back to the gym ... for integrity sake ;-)

I'm so excited ... I met with a beautiful bride to be and her honey, Megan and Derek, this weekend ... we hit it off right away ... anyway, they are going to be getting married at Emipre Mine in Grass Valley ... oh it is going to be beautiful! And I'm excited .. they live in San Francisco so I said ... we've got to do your engagement session in San Francisco ... I've got my head full of fun ideas! They agreed! I'm so thrilled!

I shot my favorite sweet potato, Freddy, and his family this weekend! This afternoon when I was going through the pictures ... I found myself smiling ... I tell you what ... they are such a happy family! It's such a joy to have such wonderful people in my life!

This job rocks! Thanks so much for all you guys ... I have the Best clients and friends!

Well, I'm off to bed at a decent hour tonight.... remember ... I've got to meet Chip at the gym!!!!

I had such a great time with Jason and Amber ... such fun and wonderful people! I'm totally jealous that they got to have Sebastion as their ring bearer ... Comming to you live from San Antonio ... I'll looking out the window of the Alamo ... it's not as big as I thought it would be ... but very beautiful! I had to resist the temptation to take pictures inside today ... it's not allowed! Can you belive that?! I was so temped to just click since my lens are fast and who would know ... but darn it ... I just couldn't bring myself to break the rules!!! Darn it! But I did get some awsome shots outside of windows and doors and such ... I'll post 'em shortly. We are heading to Sea World tomorrow to see Shamu ... even though, in my mind, at least, Shamu lives in San Diego ... I'm excitted to take the kids there!

Saturday I shot an absolutly stunning wedding in Napa. Jenni and Tyson were absolutly beautiful! I just love 'em both! So, so, so wonderful! Their wedding was in the backyard of a family friend and it was to die for!!! Demi, my assistant, and I both said ... now this is a place to get married! Absolutly beautiful! Wait till you see the photos ... I was feaveriously downloading them on my way to San Antonio because I couldn't wait to veiw them!!! I'll try to get some of them up shortly. Most likely this week.

Anyway ... I'm going to go back to the fam ... I am on vacation ;-)

ok, i totally could not resist posting this image! while shooting some pictures for a client our little girls were playing dress up and then they decided that they too needed to have some shoots of their own! Priceless!!! The coolest thing is that they became instant friends after only meeting each other today ... I wish we all still had that innocence and trust in us! It's just so sweet!

It's been a busy weekend. I finally got to photography my little friend Ian ... we've had to reschedule his shoot so many times ... it's too funny, be we had a blast running around the park looking for the mysterious frog ;-) He was such a doll. I'll post his slide show shortly.

well, it's been one crazy week! Besides fighting a summer cold ... no fun let me tell you ... I had a great shoot for Hip Bebes (I couldn't resist posting the above picture) Lora the owner is wonderful and her slings are super sassy and totaly awesome! The fabrics are so hip! I love 'em! Do Not Shake Your Baby

Today, on assignment for Kidaround Town, I got the wonderful opportunity to meet and photograph the Juceam family, who have gone through what no family should have to go through. Their little Hannah Rose lost her life due to a caretaker shaking her. Their website gives more information on how you can help get the message out NOT TO SHAKE A BABY!

Thank you so much for letting me get to spend some time with your beautiful family, share your pictures of Hannah and have alittle fun with Jordan and Benjamin. Jordan is such a smart little boy and such a good big brother and Ben ... oh, stole my heart ... such a sweetie ... and a chatter ... so cute! And you two were so wonderful ... I enjoyed seeing you love, hug and kiss your children. It touched my heart so much. Here are some of my favorites from today...thank you Jordan for the artistic idea of everyone laying on our backs ... even me!!!! I love that photo! :-) And Jordan .... don't forget to get some wintergreen lifesavers and cruch 'em in the dark with mom and dad - the sparks are totally cool! ;-)

I started the morning by hitting the road to Bodega Bay for an engagement shoot with Jason and Amber. It was a great drive. I stopped at a neat little coffee shop on Highway 1 The RoadHouse Coffee Shop . And then made my way to SchoolHouse Beach. Jason and Amber ... You guys are a kick in the pants! I had such so much fun shooting you guys! The beach was beautiful and you guys were so fun ... even with the biting eels (just kiddin')! The slideshow is of some of my favorite images of the day. Lunch at The Tides was fun ... I've always wanted to stop there and just never had. It was great to share your images with you right away! Can't wait 'til the wedding on July 4th! Lots of fireworks I'm sure!!!! :-)

Chip you totally ROCK!!!

About 2 months ago I was at lunch with several of my computer buds, Chip is one of those buds, I got Chip to agree to get his booty to the gym if I would meet him there two days a week... we had a deal ... this a.m. I told Chip ... man, you look like you are loosing weight .. he told me he had lost 21 lbs. !!!!

I'm so proud of you buddy! You told me thank you ... but buddy you did it all ... YOU TOTAL ROCK!!! Keep up the good work ... I'll keep showing up :-)

Its been a great weekend. I did an anniversary shoot with Clay and Heather and it was so fun! Heather and Clay you guys are great! I'll have the pictures posted this week. It was so hot! So we had fun down by the pier with some boats and water! Lots of fun! I can't wait 'till the wedding!

Also this weekend I got to photograph some great kids for the upcomming KidAround Town issue ... it will be out July 1! Thanks so much moms for beautiful kids! I have some pics up this week too.

We're back from Disneyland and we had a wonderful time. Above are some of the images I snapped. I took a whole series of Mason in ToonTown on every car there - he wasn't big enough to go on the roller coaster so we had our own little photoshoot! And Isabel and I had some fun with a Buzz lighyear light thing at night waiting for the fireworks ... I'll post those soon just for fun!

It's been a busy week with sessions and meetings. And lots of learning. I've been soaking up a DVD by Mike Colon ... I just love it! I'm definatly going to have to attend his seminar! The DVD makes one thirsty for more!

I'm excitted to meet with Heather and Clay this upcomming weekend for their engagement shoot. We are going to shoot at a very fun place ... you'll have to check back for their images AND I'm shooting for KidAround Town this upcomming weekend ... which is always fun! I love it so much!

Oh yes, AND this week I got a picture in the Sacramento BEE! That was cool. I'll put the pic up tomorrow :-)

Mickey Mouse Here We Come!!!

I'm excitted! Tomorrow we hit the road for Disneyland! Cool Beans! I love that place! Both Mason and Isabel are excitted ... we are keeping it a secret that we are going to have lunch with the pricesses ... I can't wait to see Isabel's face light up! I'm actually not sure who is more excitted to go ... My husband and I or the kids! On the way, I'll be sure to give my brother Scott a call for the traditional "who didn't brush their teeth" comment when we go through Coalinga ... gotta love that! And I'm looking forward to the traditional RainForest Cafe dinner tomorrow night! I'll post some images from the trip as soon as we return.

Today I also got to meet the sweetest set of twins. Thank you Crystal for letting me have the pleasure of photographing them. Look for their upcomming article in Kidaround Town comming out in July.
