Four little ones!!! You are brave my friend!!!! I can't wait to meet the little guy!

Honestly, the best part of what I do is getting to meet the wonderful people that I do and getting to be part of such neat things in their lives! It's been a great weekend! I got so much done around my home ... I actually can't belief it .. must be because I know I'm going to be crazy busy in September. I'll be out of town for two weeks to goto LA to train with Pictage and Mike Colon. I'm so excited! But in September every Saturday I have a wedding, which totally rocks ... but man, life will be crazy! I have several clients whose babies are due in the next weeks too ... that is going to be excitting. I get to meet some new little ones just about every week next month!!! Got to love that.

This past week I meet a wonderful couple Michael and Jennifer ... they are expecting a little girl and it was so fun to get to meet them and look at their wedding pictures ... in fact we were married by the same wonderful man! Isn't that just too cool! As soon as I got home I busted in the door and told my husband! I think he thought I was a little strange .. nothing new there :-)

Tomorrow I get to go help my friend Kristen pick out a camera ... I can't wait to show her all the fun stuff ... which will she pick .. Nikon or Canon .. I'll keep you posted ;-) I'm taking her to my favorite local camera shop Camera Arts. The staff there totally ROCKS! Everyone there is great and helpful ... if you are looking for new gear in the Sacramento area I highly recommend them .. they really help you and don't make you feel like you are a goober if you have a silly question.

Okay, Isabel is calling for me to go watch Little Mermaid for the 159th time ... too bad I'm really not keeping track ... 'cause I bet I hold the world record!!! Good Night!

Whew! What a Saturday! This is the first Saturday in I don't know how long that I actually had to myself ... Well sorta ... I finally got to organize Mason's closet ... it has been my storage closet for my photography stuff for the last 5 years ... so you can only imagine the pain of giving up that space to clothes and shoes ... but he did need his own closet! And I purged toys from both Mason and Isabels room ... it is amazing how much junk they can collect for such little people!!!

Also, it's sorta funny ... so I have to share. I've been on a big quest to help others lately ... this morning when Isabel and I were heading to Target to grab a few things I was wondering how I would do that today and it was so odd because as we pulled into the parking lot there was an older man with his family and you could tell that he had locked his keys in the car ... I seized the day and offered my AAA to come and unlock the car ... he couldn't belive it! He was so thrilled ... said that these days people just don't stop and help anyone anymore ... I told him ... well my friend ... today someone stopped ... he smiled and nodded. It totally made my heart smile!

I got to visit my friend Barbara ... took her maternity shots today ... it was great fun and I actually got all three of her little ones and her growing belly in several shoots ... I wasn't sure if I'd have success, but it all came together and it was great fun! On my way home I got to visit with my best bud Jenny who I don't get to see much ... I can't belief how Sammy and Nick have grown!! It was nice to see them all.

So, all in all this Saturday has been great! I'm going to finish this up, finish my glass of great wine that my husband poured me and head to bed to finish the book 'Never Eat Alone' which I have to say has been very interesting.

Wow, these last weeks have be just packed with all kinds of fun stuff. I'm running this evening to go and meet my friends Tyson and Jenni ... I shot their wedding in July and those lucky dogs got to goto Spain for a couple of weeks for their honeymoon...and can you belive they didn't take me along for photos (just kidding .. however a great idea if you want to be in your honeymoon shoots!!) Anyway ... I'm dying to see them and here about their adventure and of coarse see their pictures!!!

I shot for Kismet Maternity this past week and I have to tell you ... Stacey has the absolute best stuff!!! You moms have to check it out!! She carries the best jeans, the most stylish dresses ... and some of the cutest baby gifts and bags! She also carries Hip Bebes slings ... who makes some very very stylish baby slings ... check 'em out!!

Most of you know that I just love photographing kids ... they just constantly crack me up or make me look at life a lot less seriously ... well, I had a recent session at the park and had a blast ... but the image above takes the cake ... it just cracks me up!!!!

Last week I got the opportunity to photograph most likely the funnest couple yet expecting a little one! DJ and Kendra were a blast .. I can't wait to meet their little one. Here is a peak at my favorites from their session.

Tyson and Jenni got married this past July and it was absolutly georgeous!! The bride, beautiful both inside and out. The groom, handsome, I must say. Their family and friends were so gracious! Wow! I can believe it's been so long since I've checked in! Life just gets so busy ... a good busy .. but busy non the less! I always know I've got to check myself when I've been skipping out on the gym and am glued literally to the computer! It's funny, my buddy Chip asked me if I was just beating him out of the gym or if I was flaking ... I sooooooo wantedt to say "of coarse I'm beating you out of the gym ... wondering where you've been" ... but no! darn it ... truth prevails ... so tomorrow a.m. ... back to the gym ... for integrity sake ;-)

I'm so excited ... I met with a beautiful bride to be and her honey, Megan and Derek, this weekend ... we hit it off right away ... anyway, they are going to be getting married at Emipre Mine in Grass Valley ... oh it is going to be beautiful! And I'm excited .. they live in San Francisco so I said ... we've got to do your engagement session in San Francisco ... I've got my head full of fun ideas! They agreed! I'm so thrilled!

I shot my favorite sweet potato, Freddy, and his family this weekend! This afternoon when I was going through the pictures ... I found myself smiling ... I tell you what ... they are such a happy family! It's such a joy to have such wonderful people in my life!

This job rocks! Thanks so much for all you guys ... I have the Best clients and friends!

Well, I'm off to bed at a decent hour tonight.... remember ... I've got to meet Chip at the gym!!!!

Finally, as promised! Here are some of my favorite images from Jason and Ambers wedding on the 4th of July. It was absolutly beautiful. I had such a great time with Jason and Amber ... such fun and wonderful people! I'm totally jealous that they got to have Sebastion as their ring bearer ... Comming to you live from San Antonio ... I'll looking out the window of the Alamo ... it's not as big as I thought it would be ... but very beautiful! I had to resist the temptation to take pictures inside today ... it's not allowed! Can you belive that?! I was so temped to just click since my lens are fast and who would know ... but darn it ... I just couldn't bring myself to break the rules!!! Darn it! But I did get some awsome shots outside of windows and doors and such ... I'll post 'em shortly. We are heading to Sea World tomorrow to see Shamu ... even though, in my mind, at least, Shamu lives in San Diego ... I'm excitted to take the kids there!

Saturday I shot an absolutly stunning wedding in Napa. Jenni and Tyson were absolutly beautiful! I just love 'em both! So, so, so wonderful! Their wedding was in the backyard of a family friend and it was to die for!!! Demi, my assistant, and I both said ... now this is a place to get married! Absolutly beautiful! Wait till you see the photos ... I was feaveriously downloading them on my way to San Antonio because I couldn't wait to veiw them!!! I'll try to get some of them up shortly. Most likely this week.

Anyway ... I'm going to go back to the fam ... I am on vacation ;-)

ok, i totally could not resist posting this image! while shooting some pictures for a client our little girls were playing dress up and then they decided that they too needed to have some shoots of their own! Priceless!!! The coolest thing is that they became instant friends after only meeting each other today ... I wish we all still had that innocence and trust in us! It's just so sweet!

It's been a busy weekend. I finally got to photography my little friend Ian ... we've had to reschedule his shoot so many times ... it's too funny, be we had a blast running around the park looking for the mysterious frog ;-) He was such a doll. I'll post his slide show shortly.

Tonight I met with such a sweet couple, Irina and Ariel! I'm shooting their wedding in September and it is going to be so fun! They are sooooo sweet! They seem so full of life ... We are going to shoot their engagement party next month ... so check back .. it should be fun!!

well, it's been one crazy week! Besides fighting a summer cold ... no fun let me tell you ... I had a great shoot for Hip Bebes (I couldn't resist posting the above picture) Lora the owner is wonderful and her slings are super sassy and totaly awesome! The fabrics are so hip! I love 'em! You'll have to check 'em out. They are now available at Kismet Maternity.

Oh yes, and I'm so excitted, I just booked a show ... July 30. It's going to be so much fun ... more details to follow. So save the date and come see some of my work and have a cup of tea with me at Javalicious in River Park. Loana the owner is just the sweetest ... we are going to have fun :-)

I'm looking forward to a crazy busy weekend and Jason and Amber's wedding on July 4th! They are such a great couple, so fun! If they can survive attacking eels at the beach ;-) they can make it through anything!! You guys are great and I'm totally looking forward to Tuesday!

Do Not Shake Your Baby

Today, on assignment for Kidaround Town, I got the wonderful opportunity to meet and photograph the Juceam family, who have gone through what no family should have to go through. Their little Hannah Rose lost her life due to a caretaker shaking her. Their website gives more information on how you can help get the message out NOT TO SHAKE A BABY!

Thank you so much for letting me get to spend some time with your beautiful family, share your pictures of Hannah and have alittle fun with Jordan and Benjamin. Jordan is such a smart little boy and such a good big brother and Ben ... oh, stole my heart ... such a sweetie ... and a chatter ... so cute! And you two were so wonderful ... I enjoyed seeing you love, hug and kiss your children. It touched my heart so much. Here are some of my favorites from today...thank you Jordan for the artistic idea of everyone laying on our backs ... even me!!!! I love that photo! :-) And Jordan .... don't forget to get some wintergreen lifesavers and cruch 'em in the dark with mom and dad - the sparks are totally cool! ;-)

I started the morning by hitting the road to Bodega Bay for an engagement shoot with Jason and Amber. It was a great drive. I stopped at a neat little coffee shop on Highway 1 The RoadHouse Coffee Shop . And then made my way to SchoolHouse Beach. Jason and Amber ... You guys are a kick in the pants! I had such so much fun shooting you guys! The beach was beautiful and you guys were so fun ... even with the biting eels (just kiddin')! The slideshow is of some of my favorite images of the day. Lunch at The Tides was fun ... I've always wanted to stop there and just never had. It was great to share your images with you right away! Can't wait 'til the wedding on July 4th! Lots of fireworks I'm sure!!!! :-)

Chip you totally ROCK!!!

About 2 months ago I was at lunch with several of my computer buds, Chip is one of those buds, I got Chip to agree to get his booty to the gym if I would meet him there two days a week... we had a deal ... this a.m. I told Chip ... man, you look like you are loosing weight .. he told me he had lost 21 lbs. !!!!

I'm so proud of you buddy! You told me thank you ... but buddy you did it all ... YOU TOTAL ROCK!!! Keep up the good work ... I'll keep showing up :-)

Its been a great weekend. I did an anniversary shoot with Clay and Heather and it was so fun! Heather and Clay you guys are great! I'll have the pictures posted this week. It was so hot! So we had fun down by the pier with some boats and water! Lots of fun! I can't wait 'till the wedding!

Also this weekend I got to photograph some great kids for the upcomming KidAround Town issue ... it will be out July 1! Thanks so much moms for beautiful kids! I have some pics up this week too.

Thanks Carol (a wonderful photographer friend) for meeting me for lunch and bringing me back some fun stuff from WPPI ... I'm definatly going next year!!! I can't wait! And maybe one day Beth and I will acktually meet!!!
