Moms at the Park

This Monday I got the pleasure of photographing a local moms group at the park ... oh so much fun! Thank you guys for the great fun of photographing all your little ones ... each little one was so sweet! I'll have the images posted by Friday :-)

This morning I met with a client and her little boy Aiden! Oh, I have to say I could just kick myself for not having my camera with me as he made the cutest expression while waiting for us to finish our chat! Thank you Aiden for the smiles today!

Alrighty, it's back to work for me ... I've got sessions to work on. I've finished up my sweet pea Cannons session in the park and I have to say his eyes just capture my heart! I can't wait for his mommy and daddy to see the pictures ...

Nothing like a little fun with the ones you love. Avalyns shower was today and I got a new lens so of coarse I had to take some pictures. My brother Scott got the one of me with the tongue out! Fun stuff! Jenn, I had to put the feet picture in! I'm hitting the hay, I'm exhausted!

Well, here it is! May's issue of Kidaround Town. I have to say it was just a blast working with you Dana! This was a fun shoot ... on a beautiful day in Old Sacramento. Thanks so much for great fun! I truly loved the young mans comment as we were on the boat ... "wow, pregnant moms are really sexy" ... Priceless! I love it ... If only we always felt that way! ;-)

Yesterday Isabel and I made a cake! We had so much fun I had to grab my camera and take a couple of pic's! Thought I'd share 'em!

I've got to get finishing up on some announcements for my friend Kristen ... I photographed sweet Sam and Addison, which was so fun trying to get their bums together! Kids are so silly!

Life has been crazy ... nothing new there! The wedding season is creeping up upon us and I'm so excitted this year. I'm super excitted for my assistant to return from Spain ... I need you Mo!! I've missed you so much! Also, Kudos to my buddy Chip ... he's been showing up at the gym now for three weeks in a row ... you ROCK buddy!!! I'm proud of you!

Before I hit the hay I just want to say thanks for all your support ... I'm so blessed to get to follow my passion!

Is that a Salad Bowl or a camera?!!@!

OK, I've been asked some silly things while shooting before but this weekend while shooting for KidAround Town someone asked me if my camera was a salad bowl or a camera lens!!! Too funny .... there are some characters out there! I mean those big lens do draw some interesting comments ... but this one by far is the most far out ;-)

We had a great shoot, thanks Barbara, Dana, Sarah and Dana's Hubby ... the fries were wonderful! Also thank you Kismik Maternity , you've got some great stuff! Almost makes me want to be expecting again so I could wear the sassy clothes!!

Wow! This weekend fly by!

This morning I got to photography Libby and Kevin's beatuiful baby boy Noah ... what a cutie! Thank you guys for such an enjoyable time. I got some great shots and will have them up this week :-)

I'm excitted for my friends Wayne and Kelly ... they finally got their little boy ... Mr. Zachary ... his little sisters are quite excitted I hear and every is happy and healthy ... got to love that ;-)

I got to deliver some photographs last week to my client Kira and as we were chating over coffee she told me she was leaving her job and starting a pastry kitchen ... I'm so excitted for you Kira! It takes so much courage to follow your heart and go for the gusto and I get so excitted to hear when people do ... I'm a sap for it acktually and I just want you to know I'm cheering you on!!!

Busy Bee

Well, it's been a while since I've had a moment to post anything! I've been so busy ... which is awesome! Yeah Baby was lots of fun ... I got to photograph little ones with Dora and Diego and it is just so sweet how much little ones either love them or are terrified!! I even got my picture taken with them! I figured what the heck right ... I mean how often would I get the chance to meet Dora and Diego upfront! ;-) I did miss many of you as I wasn't able to be at my booth, I had some wonderful Mom's helping me out ... thanks so much Rebecca, Nicole and Jennifer ... you guys are not only wonderful moms, clients ... but also friends and I couldn't have done it without you!!! I'm looking forward to drawing my raffle winner this week and contacting them ... who knows ... it could be you!!!

Today my client Cameron gave me the most wonderful compliment ... Thank you ... It really made my day!

This past Sunday my sister Leasa had her baby! Little Miss. Avalyn ... so check back in the next week or so ... I should be visiting her once they are home to take her picture!! Holding Avalyn was so great! I just love babies!!!

Well, I better get back to work ... I've got lots of clients orders to get to and several sessions to post ... so I'm off to work ;-)

Time

Where does the time go? I honestly don't know ... if time were a commodity that one could buy I would surely be broke!!

Thank you so much to all my fabulous moms who stepped up to volunteer for me ... I honestly have the most awesome clients! Yeah Baby is just around the corner and it should be great!

My buddy Brian checks on my blog every now and again and I'd like to thank you Brian ... I fixed it so you don't have to register to leave a comment ... just hit the logon and publish and it will publish for you ... at least when I tested it it worked ;-) Thanks for the support.

Did anyone catch the Oprah yesterday about inspiring young girls? I just loved it and was so inspired ... I love that people like Oprah, Venus and Serina Willams and Jada Pinket-Smith are reaching out to young ones and direct to them, talking to them and letting them know that they can be all that they want to be. That they are beautiful and strong. I love it!

Starbucks - 38th and J Street

Today I got to hang some photos in the Starbucks at 38th and J Street - check 'em out. Starbucks is very supportive of local artist and I love that! If you get a chance swing by I'd love to hear from you and see what you think.

Now I'm on to preparing for the Yeah Baby Expo. Sweet Mason

Look at this little man! This was Mason this afternoon while Isabel and I were watching cooking shows! Isn't he just so so sweet ... of coarse I'm going to say that ...he's mine! This was my picture of the day! I call it ... Peace at last!

Just Fun

Today's images were fun to get on my daily walk. The volvo ... who could pass that up. The tulip ... I just loved getting to peek into it - it's so beautiful. And then this big guy ... can running up to me as I was photographing another flower ... scared me to death! But after I collected myself I asked his owner if I could take his picture and she was most willing and he was too! Its he cute!

I had such a great time getting to photograph your wedding and meet your family and friends! It was a beautiful day. I hope you guys are enjoying your honeymoon in Jamaca ... I can't wait to hear all about it and of coarse see some pictures. Thank you guys for letting me follow you to dinner after the wedding reception. I think we captured some great moments and I just love the fact that we missed the down pour of rain by minutes!!! Thanks to both of your families for being so wonderful :-)

Project Started

I finally started it. Today I started the picture a day project and I actually took 8 that I really like! Sorry Rich .. the sunglass picture didn't make it today ... but I'll most certainly use it :-) Today I was struck by this most perfect lilly on my daily walk. Here are two shots of it. I just thought it was so beautiful.

Flowers and Coffee Cup Oh yeah

Well, I've been working feaverishly on getting CD's and images ready for the web and it's finally time to sit back and enjoy the evening. I'm hanging out here on the couch as my little Mason is falling alseep next to me ... he is just the cutest! Tonight he was brushing his teeth with the two new tooth brushes the dentist gave me ... no Mr. YuckMouth here!

On this March 1, 2006 I'm vowing to start my project that I keep saying that I'm going to start and never do and that is my art photo of the day. So, it's now started! Hopefully I'll be good and get them up here. I'm going to start carrying my camera now - every where - so friends and family beware!!! I've been especially drawn to flowers and coffee cups lately ... so we'll see what turns up ;-)

Il Fornaio and Buckets of Rain

Well little Miss. Isabel is in dance class and I'm getting an hour of free mom time ... well ... work time ;-) I took this picture Saturday of Isabel while I was waiting for my maternity session to arrive and I just love it because it is so Miss. Isabel! I had to share it.

I'm feaverishly processing photos from Kristle and Ryan Jones wedding this weekend. It was so beautiful and we beat the rain. I followed them to a romantic dinner at Il Fornaio's (the restaurant was most gracious in letting us take pictures ... it's such a beautiful restaurant!) and when I left them and got in the car ... buckets of rain came down and I mean buckets! Yeah guys ... we beat the downpour. Ryan and Kristle are enjoying themselves in Jamacia right now ... I'll have a collage of their wedding posted within the next day or two ... and their pictures up by the end of the week!!!

Christine and Al you guys were so fun ... I can't wait to show you your maternity photos! And I can't wait to meet your little girl when she arrives! Excitting! Thank you Michelle for sending me such delightful clients :-)

Oh yes, and today I confirmed with the Starbucks on 38th and J Street that I'll be able to display my work in the Month of March ... so grab a cup of Joe and see some of my recent work!

Another Beautiful Day

Today I got to photograph little Miss Juliette - and what a sweet pea she is! Just two weeks old and she is already just as sweet as can be with her sweat little toes and her sweet lips. She's already a great appreciater of Art and I just love that!!! Come back tomorrow to see a sampling from her session.

Today I got word that my beloved Grandma D. isn't doing so great - she has struggled with Deminsia for some time now and bless her heart is still doing so - tonight my Aunt and I talked about how important family is. I love my Aunt so much - she is just so awesome. With a heart bigger than anyone else I know. I am so blessed to have her in my family. My Grandma D has always been a gem to me, someone I've always admired because of her spunk and it is so hard to see what age brings to the otherwise vibrant. Such a Sassy one Grandma D is. Tonight we talked about my Grandpa D's wonderful chicken noddle soup (he made the best) and I remember shortly before he died learning how to make his wonderful and so simple noddles ... from the master himself ... family traditions are awesome and I love them. I think that is one reason why I enjoy photographing people because I get to be a part of that ... a part of something that years later when you talk to your Aunt and set time asside to go through trunks of photographs and journals I'll have been a part of that in some way and the joy that it brings to my heart that my Aunt found all those memories in their barn will hopefully one day bring joy to your families hearts when your memories are shared with those that love you the most.

Busy, Busy, Oh I'm glad it's a day off!!!

Well, today is Monday and I have the day off from my consulting job! ;-) My client Claire helped me with the new title ;-) Thanks Claire ... it brings a smile to my face each time I say it ;-)

I've got to get the sweetest little sweet potato I've ever seen, Freddys' pictures posted today and Jessica's maternity pictures up ... we had lots of fun shooting those. I'll be off here shortly to shoot Zoey and Jackson ... but right now I'm chasing Mason around the kitchen .. we made cookies and now he is fasinated with the stove and Isabel ... well, she's just eating the cookes!!!! And trying to get a little work done! Life is crazy!

Oh and I had a blast shooting for Kidaround Town this weekend too ... Always a blast. The new magazine will be out in March! Thanks Barbara and Maggie for such a fun time!

New Site Live

My new site will be live December 27 ... there are many changes ... which I've very excitted about. I should have my new jewlery line up before the end of January ... it's really cool and I'm excitted to offer new products for weddings ... keep your eyes peeled ... this year is going to be a fun one! Also this weekend I start my personal project of an art image every day! Saturday Isabel my 3 year old helped me ... we took a picture of a snapple bottle at a bagel place we were at ... I'll post it soon.

My Aunt Cindy Rocks!

I just got my book "Splendid Flowers for Every Day" by my Aunt Cindy and it Rocks!! She designs for celebrities ...but her book gives tips that are good for us all ... I love flowers and photography and this book is great!!

Wow! It's December 20th and I've finally started this blog! I've been wanting to do it for some time now and today is go live! I've been working with my good buddy Barbara on the new KidAroundTown issue due out January 1 ... lots of fun as always!
